About The Center Orlando, Inc.

The Center Orlando, Inc., established in 1978, is dedicated to the well-being of the Central Florida Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender communities. The Center aims to promote and empower the LGBT+ community and its allies through advocacy, education, information, and support. They actively work to create a more inclusive and accepting environment for everyone, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity.

The Center Orlando’s programs and services include:

  • Health Services: The Center provides essential health services, including HIV and HepC testing, mental health counseling, medical referrals, free NARCAN, and more. Their Health & Human Services Testing Center is a crucial resource for the community.
  • Transgender Support: The Center provides a multitude of resources for trans and questioning individuals, including counseling, advocacy, financial assistance for medical procedures and legal name changes, and informative discussion groups for parents of trans kids.
  • Youth Programs: The Center offers resources and safe spaces for LGBT+ youth, fostering a sense of belonging and providing much-needed education and positivity.
  • Senior Support: The Center offers programs and services designed to address the unique needs of older LGBT+ individuals.
  • Legal and Immigration Assistance: The Center runs free online immigration clinics with licensed attorneys in multiple languages and provides notary services.
  • Pride Pantry: The Center maintains a stockpile of essential resources available to those in need within the LGBT+ community, ensuring that nobody who reaches out—or their pets—goes hungry.
